Aria in her new Easter outfit..and chocolate all
over her face!
Then Saturday night we colored Easter eggs. When I was a little girl, this was my most favorite Easter tradition. I loved turning the egg over and over in a dye color, keeping it in long to see how dark of a color I could get it. Every year when I was growing up this was a major event. So much fun. And now as an adult, I love dying easter eggs with my own children.
And she was so excited when she saw the end result! A green egg – wow!!
The Easter Bunny came the very next morning…and when we woke up we saw this on our kitchen table:
nine Easter baskets line up in a row (yes, even my teenagers still get an Easter basket!)
My mom made a wonderful Easter dinner for us, and the kids all had a really good time. The only bummer was that Rich was on duty that day (with a firefighter’s schedule, sometimes that’s just the way it is) and so we missed having him there. But other than that, it was a perfect day!
