When I was in school, art was my favorite subject. All through middle school and high school I always selected art as one of my electives. It’s what I looked forward to everday during my school week — not math (ugh!) and not history or science…but art! I don’t think I could have gotton through my high school years if I had not had art class to look forward to.
In our homeschool curriculum, it’s important for me that the kids get both music training (we do piano lessons) and art classes during the week. Afterall, the fine arts are important — and fun!
Miss Jan is a wonderful teacher. She’s so patient in her teaching, and she has a true passion for what she does, which helps to inspire the kids. They really get into it and take their lessons very seriously.
Even Aria likes to participate!
For a 23 month old, she has good form, don’t you think?
Alex shows me his masterpiece!
Avery with her finished work of art!
I need to clarify that these pictures were drawn by hand,
it’s not “paint by numbers” or anything. It takes them
usually 2 to 3 lessons to finish a peice of work.

I love it- great pictures! I loved art in school too, in fact, I think we may have had an art class together at some point. My work was in several school/district art shows/contests. I won one, I think!
