Afton turned 15 yesterday. Audriana made her cake. I think my cake-making days must be over because now my older kids keep wanting to make each other’s birthday cakes!
For her birthday, Rich and I are sending her to a week-long Christian camp at Lake Hume. She’s very excited to be going. A few of her best friends are going with her. It should be a fun time! Last night she had two friends with her to have cake and to sleep over.
She opened some of her gifts…
and posed in a silly shot with me!
and Aria enjoyed the birthday cake.
Her birthday is next! Just a few more days away…
Later, Audriana had two friends over.
They kicked it out back by our fire pit until late in the evening.
Way late.
I think it was about 1am when I drove them home.
But I don’t mind. I’d rather my teens be up late and having fun at my house
than up late and having fun somewhere else

Happy birthday, I love the silly picture of the two of you. And I know what you mean about your kids hanging out at home, we have that here several times a week with our boys as well…and that’s ok with me.

Happy birthday to your beautiful daughter. The cake looks very yummy. And love the funny pose with you two…ha ha!
I love it when our kids have their friends over and I don’t mind one bit how long they stay over when it’s at my house. I also would rather them hang out here than some place else.

Wow. I just think you are such a wonderful mother. Thank you so much for making your children feel loved and safe. That’s something I wish I had had, and absolutely love to see it in the world : )
