Here is Aria in her car seat. These photos were taken just a few days ago. Do you notice that she is still in the rear-facing position? She will be two years old in just a few more days, and she is 27 pounds, but yet she is still rear-facing in her car seat.
If you are wondering why I keep her this way, and will continue to do so until she is at least 35 pounds, please watch this video: (scroll down to bottom of this page and turn off the audio to my playlist first!)
Remember, it’s the safest way for our little ones to travel in a car!
Don’t turn them around too soon!
And better yet…keep them rear-facing for as long as you can.
(check with your car seat’s guidelines…ours is until 35 pounds!)

Laura, I love the Recaro! Very happy with it. But once Aria hits 35 pounds, I will have to get the new Britax that goes to 40 lbs! That’s so awesome! Yay! Rear-facing for just that much longer…it’s so worth it.

Sweet picture! Britax are just releasing their new line of convertible – they will RF to 40lbs!! Of course, I am getting one for Mr. T! How do you like the Recaro?
Katrina says
We use the Britax Regents and the Sunshine Radian 80’s for our kids who are 80 pounds and under. We have five carseats in our van!!

I need you to call me or email me. I can’t get your email to work.

Yep. Way to go momma!! I am an extended rear facing and extended harnessing momma. My almost 2 year old, 24lb son is still rear facing and do so until he is 35lbs. My other son is in a 5 point harness and will be until 80lbs and he is only 35lbs now at 3 years old.
I have also tried to express the importance of this many times. It kills me to see little ones forward facing, in a booster, or worse no carseat at all
