Someone new

October 14, 2010

My niece was born today!  Jillian Claire is what they named her.  Isn’t that pretty? Finally!  I can tell people the name. My kids have been bugging me for weeks!
“What’s Auntie Kelly going to name the baby?”  they’d ask.
And I’d say,”I don’t know….”
and they’d say, “Yes, you do!  Tell us!”
Ugh.  Glad that’s over.

I can’t wait to meet her in November!
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that she was born at home, in water!  Way to go, Kelly!
Jillian weighs 8 pounds 2 ounces and is 20 and 1/2 inches long!  She was 6 days overdue, but well worth the wait!

12:44am

I just got off the phone with my sister, and we talked for almost 3 hours.  It was almost 3:00am her time by the time we got off the phone, but you know how it is when you just have a baby and you are full of energy…so she was in a real chit-chatty mood.  In the background, I could hear the baby making all those sweet baby sounds.  So cute!  I could hear her sneezing (3 times!) and I remembered how all my newborns did that on their first day “out”, too!  And Jillian also had a quick bout of the hiccups.  So precious.  New babies are just so precious.  I am so happy for my sister!

The new baby mode has got me thinking….are we going to have another?    I would love to, and Rich would love to.  And our kids are always asking for another brother or sister.   Our family would welcome another baby in a heartbeat.  I wonder what God has planned for us?

This post brought tears to my eyes! How sweet! My daughter was born at home, and it was SO, SO nice. Much better than the hospital with a c-section! We too hope to meet a someone new whenever God lets that happen. I am so hoping it’s soon! I totally have baby fever!
