So the “new” thing that I’m trying this week…is editing my photos. I have never been much into editing, so this is all new territory for me. Below is my recap of A.J.’s birthday party, along with some of my favorite photos. Each one is edited using different techniques found in Picnik.
~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~
A.J.’s “real” birthday was last month, but this month we had his Birthday Party…due to the fact that mama procrastinated on booking the BMX track and well, when you wait…you’re usually late, right? So yea, we were late in giving him this party, but you know what? It’s all good…because A.J. and all of his friends had a BLAST !
That’s A.J. pulling out into the lead. He had an advantage on all of his friends, since I believe he is the only one who races BMX bikes. I think only one other boy at the party had ever been on a BMX race track before! They all did great, nonetheless. We had minimal falls, and the kids really enjoyed themselves. It was very cool to have the entire track rented out to ourselves! I would love to do this more often.
And here is Andrew, just 4 years old, and his first time on the track. He’s ready to race! Do you see him catching some air in the larger photo? Yep, that’s my boy!
Alex has also been racing bikes for quite a few years
Orange Y? Loved that place.In fact, that was the 2nd track Grant raced at when he was starting out and was on the team “Harris Bike Works”- we traveled all over with that team! Grant Jr. still has a pair of clipless racing shoes in the closet that he doesn’t want to part with yet- just in case! It’s funny they’re called “clipless” when you use them to “clip in” to the pedals- or am I mixing the words up?
Anyway- GREAT party and GREAT pics as always!
Wow, love these photos, I use Picnik for my photos too. Have to say I love your ‘about’ page makes me want to drastically change mine! I understand about how people comment on how many kids, I only have 3 and people say – oh don’t have any more! It’s personal and i know it can be harder and more expensive to have more kids, but the way I see it, if I got pregnant again I would see it as a blessing, it must be meant to be! Look forward to reading your blog.
The camera that I used is a film camera, if you can believe that – I’m still using film! Ugh! But it’s a Canon Rebel, and I used a zoom lens although I have no idea what kind it is. It’s nothing fancy, I can tell you that. Some of these photos are from my camera, and some are those taken from a friend who was at the party.
