Today we didn’t have to venture very far to have FUN — this wonderfully wet playground is practically in our backyard. Well, okay…two minutes down the road. But still. That’s pretty close!
Water, water – everywhere!
See that big red bucket up there? That huge thing slowly fills with water, and the kids stand under it….waiting….waiting….and waiting. Until it gets so full that it tips over….
and splashes down on all below. This happens about every two minutes. I’ve stood under that thing before. warning: girls? do not stand under it if you are wearing a two-piece, and boys? tie those trunks on tight! Yep, it’s that powerful. Kids get knocked down all the time. They love it! Well, some do. Babies, toddlers, and some preschoolers… not so much!
Andrew still won’t stand directly under it. I think it took him out once and he’s never forgiven it for that. So, he keeps his distance and then runs under it once it’s “safe”!

The kids all took turns taking Aria around with them. I’d say she had a fun time!
Thank goodness I have a strong zoom lens…because there’s no way I was wading out in that splash scene to get a good photo! Not that I didn’t want to cool off — I did — but my camera? No way was I going to risk it for the perfect photo. So I sat in my lounge chair, waaaaay far away from the water, and snapped all my photos. I never got up once to take a photo.

You can see Aislynn and A.J. up there on the bridge, getting ready for the group photo per my instructions. Afterall, a FUN day wouldn’t be complete without some kind of a group shot!
