(this is an old post that for some reason was left as a draft and never published, so because I want to add it to my blog for memory sake, I’m publishing it now…even though this little guy is now two YEARS old, LOL)
Aiden is now two months old. He’s a little sweetie pie, but still so serious. Here is a typical face that he gives us each day.
Grrrr! I pity the fool!
I know! Mr. Grump-Grump, right? Every now and then I will get a smile out of him, but it’s such a rare occurrence that I never get the chance to capture it on camera.
This photo below is the best I’ve got so far of him smiling.
He does look rather charming with that little half-smile of his. But enough of that. I want a full mouth smile.
He’s a chubby little guy, that’s for sure. Talk about rolls! He has rolls on his rolls. He weighs a little over 15 pounds now.
He sleeps a lot. And eats a lot. And yes, he poops a lot, which I kind of like. Because I actually enjoy changing diapers. Call me crazy, but there’s just something about making a baby’s bottom clean, fresh and powdered that I like. Well, I should say MY baby’s bottom. Other people’s babies? Not so much.
Today his eyes are blue. I don’t know if they will stay blue or not. Audriana had blue eyes until she was 13 months old. One day they were blue and the next brown – just like that. So until Aiden is two years old, I’m not going to say he has blue eyes. Instead I will say, “Today his eyes are blue.” Which is the truth enough, but still gives me some leeway just in case we wake up tomorrow and find they are brown. Blue or brown…it’s all good. Just as long as he can see from them, I’m happy!
For the most part, Aiden is a very mellow baby. He only cries when he wants attention or when he’s hungry. When he’s content he will sit alongside his siblings and watch them as they talk and play.
Some of my favorite photos of him were taken with my iPhone.
Like this one where he’s lifting his head up. I know he’s not happy in this shot, but that’s only because he hates tummy time!
And how sweet is this one? Afton actually took this shot on her iPhone when he was kicking back on her bed one day. He was watching her while she was on her computer. Interesting stuff for an 8 week old.

(by the way, he was sleeping in our living room – which explains why the chest clip is not at the correct armpit height.)

I’m usually the person behind the camera around here, so getting photos of me with Aiden is rare. I do like this one, though. I think A.J. took this shot of the two of us.
It’s not in the best focus, and for sure it’s not the best picture of me. But I think Aiden’s expression looks sweet in this photo. So it’s a keeper.
